All work and some play
Life has slowed down a bit now, routine has kicked in. Monday to Friday is just working which just leaves the weekend for some fun.
Watching the rugby at the casino last weekend was good, I went there with two English blokes and an Irishman, and boy were we outnumbered. There must have been 120 Irish and about 10 English, including us. So when England won it was a quiet celebration from us due to fearing for our lives. The rest of the night saw me win $50 on roulette followed by a large order at McDonald's.
Work is going well, mostly due to the great Australian attitude to work. My observation (and the observation of other travellers I have spoken to) is the Australians have a very relaxed attitude to work, not like back home where everything needs doing yesterday. I'm not sure if it's the heat that makes them chilled out (haha.....heat - chilled out), but everyone is more laid back.
This Monday is a bank holiday! Labour Day apparently, they celebrate the 'labourers of Australia' by having a day off, strange but I'm not going to complain! Not sure what the plan is yet, I'm getting itchy feet and want to get out of the city, might rent a car or something but we will see.
