I didn't realise it had been so long since my last post.  I've haven't been on any more adventures since the west coast trip.  Just been chilling around a mostly cold and wet Perth.

I'm living in a house share with Helen at the moment, been here about two weeks now, the owners are away in the UK for five weeks so we are just sharing the place with an Italian couple (they hardly speak any English, and my Italian is not so great which makes it little awkward).  It works out cheaper than staying in the hostel so I'm managing to save a bit of money there.

So what have I been doing the past few weeks, well... I had a visit to the casino, which was not profitable.  Helen and I have been visiting a few restaurants, including too many San Churros for dessert (it's a place that does chocolatey stuff, it's awesome).  One of my fellow geeks at the hostel has purchased the board game 'Mage Knight', it's in the same genre as Dungeons and Dragons; we played it until 4am the other day.  The rest of the time I have spent on the computer or watching TV, broke up by going for a daily jog (OK most days).

To prove just how cold it is in Perth now they have set up an outdoor ice rink in the centre of town! Yeah an outdoor ice rink.... in Australia.  I may go down next week and have a bash, which should be fun as I can barely walk straight never mind skate on ice.

So with all this relaxing and playing board games I decided I need a holiday, I've therefore booked a flight to Bali!  I will be flying from Perth to Bali on Friday 18th July, Helen will be joining me about a week later and then we will fly to Darwin on Thursday 7th August for some hiking in the national parks up there.
