Painting, Pool and Pondering

We're still in Adelaide, looking for work.  The past few weeks have flown by and we haven't even had an interview for a job.  Admittedly we haven't tried very hard to find work, we are both feeling a lack of get up and go at the moment.  All the jobs we find are things like charity fund raising (you know the people who stop you on the street and are really annoying), which neither of us wish to do, this has put a bit of a downer on life here at the moment and we are wondering/discussing what we should if we don't find work shortly (the jury is still out).

I had two days work this week as a labourer.  Proper mans work, got some cuts on my hands and everything, a far cry from I.T.  I basically carried rubbish in buckets from the forth floor to the ground floor and empted it into a skip.  I got $100 a day, which paid for our food this week (and a cheeky visit to San Churros).

We are however working in our hostel for our accommodation, so this is one less expense.  Helen has been cleaning the beds and I've been painting the dining area - we both do two hours a day (10 -12).

We have been trying to keep active; we have run a few times each week and also joined a swimming pool just down the road.  Also we visited Glenelg at the weekend which is the nearest beach, it was quite nice with some bars and shops, they had an arcade there and mini golf (at which I was soundly defeated).

This week is looking the same so far, must apply to some more jobs now.
